    The Big White House is just that, a superb detached white house with lots of space for large groups, ideal for parties of social gatherings. This fully equipped self-catering house can accommodate upto 18 people in 9 rooms. The property is ideally located in the heart of Wordsworth country in the village of Greengill. We're just 5mins from the market town of Cockermouth with it's many attractions including Wordsworth's birthplace home, the Toy Museum and Cockermouth's many specialist shops and country pubs and inns. Guests have easy access from this location to the Northern Lake District and Keswick, the Solway and prime Lakes walking areas such as Lorton and Buttermere.

    The Big White House is set in it's own private grounds and has many amenities and facilities including secure storage for bikes and canoes. Guests can relax in the spacious garden area which has picnic tables and a BBQ. For the comfort of all our guests the house is non-smoking. All bed linen and towels are included in the charges. Hot water and central heating does have a surcharge at £140 per week during winter period. We welcome a maximum of two pets at £40 per week each and cots and high chairs are available free of charge, please advise at time of booking. Guests can secure their holiday in the Big White House with a £400.00 deposit. The balance is payable 6 weeks before your holiday commences.
