    Woodlands is conveniently situated between Dartmouth, Totnes and Kingsbridge, ancient market towns with beautiful old architecture all excellent for shopping and sight seeing. Dartmouth, set at the mouth of the River Dart is only 4 miles and offers tours of Britannia Royal Naval College and scenic cruises up the River Dart . Steam trains follow the river and picturesque coast to Paignton. Dartmoor is a scenic drive away for leisurely strolls or serious walking.

    Almost opposite Woodlands is Dartmouth Golf & Country Club with an 18 hole Championship golf course, a 9 hole pay and play course , driving range plus a superb leisure suite. Country Pubs abound in this corner of Devon, the three nearest within 1 1/2 miles serve good evening meals and welcome children. There are also excellent restaurants for that special night out.
