Catalina is 'Unique' "the standard of hospitality is memorable, with both Mr & Mrs Salisbury committed to their guests comfort and well being" (AA Inspectors report 2005) - Awarded a Rosette from the Consumers association WHICH? B & B Guide as one of 'Top 20' in Great Britain (One of only three in Scotland).. Awarded four dimonds by the AA, Awarded Gold Clean Air award (First in Scotland!).. we could go on, but with 50% of our guests being 'repeat visits' our welcome and quality speak for themselves.

We take non-smokers only (this means people who don't smoke (period) we are recognised for our 'clean-air' policy and our guests KNOW that the pillows, curtains, etc will NOT smell of smoke (like a lot of so-called 'non-smoking' places!).

We provide a whole suite of a twin bedroom, lounge, dining room and toilet/w.c. for a maximun of two guests. No children (We've done our bit and our kids flew the nest years ago!). No dogs either. We offer comfort, and peace.. we're situated out on a Point along the Far North coast of Scotland. Just a few minutes off the Northern A836 which runs along the top.

We provide optional three-course meals, salmon, venison etc at £12. Served in your own private dining room of course!

We're 24 miles (half an hour) west of Thurso, which has Ferry links to the Northern Isles, in fact many of our guests use Catalina on their way to or from Orkney.
