Blunty's Mill lies in the foothills of the Cheviots. It is set in the beautiful Bowmont Valley beside the river, surrounded by pastureland and with the hills rising on either side.
The track of St. Cuthbert's Way, which is a popular walk between Melrose and Holy Island (Lindisfarne) runs beside the property.

This is superb walking country and the conservation village of Kirk Yetholm is the end of the Pennine Way. Local activities such as golfing, fishing, horse riding and shooting are available.

The Border Abbeys, Kelso, Jedburgh, Melrose and Dryburgh are easily accessible and there are lots of interesting historic sites to visit as the border country, which is now so peaceful, was once an area of great conflict. A friendly welcome is guaranteed at Blunty's Mill.

You could be forgiven for thinking that, nestling on the border with England, the Scottish Borders’ sense of its own identity would be somewhat muddled. You couldn’t be more wrong. The Borders has its own unique way of life which makes this part of Scotland one of the most desirable locations for business, tourism or living.
Made famous by the writings of Sir Walter Scott, romance is never far away in its rambling scenery and picturesque towns.

Indeed despite its proximity to the major urban centre of Glasgow and Edinburgh, the Borders is extremely rural with 98% of the land mass comprising agriculture or forestry. Less than 2% is built up and the population of just over 100,000, located mainly in the notable towns of Kelso, Galashiels, Hawick, Selkirk and Peebles. means that this friendly region is not overcrowded.
