  • Bryn Elltyd Guest House Blaenau Ffestiniog - Walking or Scrambling in North Wales
The house, one mile from the old slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, was built in 1883. Whilst keeping original features, imaginative extensions and modernisation provide a warm and friendly atmosphere in an ecological and sustainable building where guests can enjoy an inviting and relaxing holiday which has limited negative impact on the environment. Open all year, it has an acre of semi wild grounds and is surrounded by wild and beautiful mountain scenery in the centre of the Snowdonia National Park.

" Wonderful place, best food we've had in Wales."
    Helen, Nick & Rowan, Shropshire

Just off the A470 and accessible by rail (transport from the station provided), the house is ideally situated to explore Snowdonia, with its mountains and lakes, beaches and castles. The world famous Ffestiniog narrow gauge railway runs between the rear of the grounds and the dramatic rock climbing faces and cliffs of the Moelwyn range

" One year later and we're back here for more brilliant trekking, fantastic food & great hospitality."
    Rich & Genevieve, Oxford
