A warm Scottish welcome awaits you at Ashburn House where Highland proprietors Christine and Willie MacDonald will greet you with genuine Highland hospitality, traditional home cooking and 6 feet wide super King-size beds.

Victorian architectured and castellated Ashburn House sits quietly on the shore of Loch Linnhe with magnificent views of the Ardgour hills yet is only 5 minutes walk from the town centre and the renowned Crannog seafood Restaurant. There is ample free private parking at the house which blends Victorian elegance with all modern facilities.

Historically, Fort William is an old highland garrison town at the foot of Ben Nevis complete with old Inverlochy Castle ruins and an excellent museum with many Bonnie Prince Charlie Jacobite relics.

Situated at sea level, Fort William is an excellent touring centre for the Scottish Highlands and islands. Mallaig, Skye, Loch Ness (Nessie) Inverness, Glencoe, Oban, Mull and Iona are all an easy day trip, as are Eilean Donnan Castle, Urquhart Castle, Stalker Castle, Dunvegan Castle and the whisky trails.

If you don't wish to drive, we can arrange for you to be chauffeured round some of the best experiences in the area - please ask.

In a quiet location overlooking romantic Loch Linnhe and the Ardgour hills, Ashburn House provides high quality accommodation.
The residence has Victorian architecture and is only a 5 minute walk from Fort William town centre.
Many rooms have views of the loch and the house's interior features include a magnificent barley twist pine staircase.
After a day's hill-walking, Munro bagging, sightseeing, castle hunting or monster spotting, guests can relax in the conservatory lounge.
In the evening the sun shimmers over Loch Linnhe before finally setting beyond the surrounding hills and glens.
