Clifton House Hotel is an imposing 19th century town house situated in the heart of Dolgellau. It has 7 letting rooms (4 en-suite) and a 22 seater restaurant which was one the Merionydd County Gaol. The rooms have been refurbished to a high standard and all have colour tv and hospitality trays.

Riding and fishing are available locally, and a few miles further you can take in lakes, castles, narrow gauge railways, woollen mills, gold, copper and slate mines.
