Fronthill House (Self-catering) Port Isaac - We want our guests to revel in our home and the majesty of the North Cornwall Coastline
Fronthill House is a spacious Edwardian villa, newly refurbished to reflect the expectations of modern living while preserving all aspects of a Cornish house by the sea. Built in the first decade of the last century, the house is set on three floors and comfortably accommodates six people. With its commanding views of the sea and surrounding hills, it is an ideal base from which to explore the wonders of Cornwall or to retreat to a bolthole that provides within its beach-house ambience open fires, wooden and slate floors and a bespoke chestnut kitchen. Fronthill House also features an art collection, a terraced patio leading to a lawned garden, designer bathrooms, two double bedrooms and one twin, an attic office (2Mbps Broadband connection) overlooking the sea and in the glass-roofed kitchen, a four-oven Aga.
It is more than a 'second home' and holiday accommodation. We have put a lot of energy into creating a relaxing atmosphere with high quality finishing and amenities which we delight in and want others to do so as well. The property will be appreciated by people who would like to explore their culinary skills in the bespoke kitchen, value the luxury of an open fire in the main bedroom and the two further fires in the living area; soaking in a cast iron bath after the rigours of a walk to Port Quin, or just chilling out with a book whilst enjoying the magnificent views of Roscarrock Hill and the waves pounding the rocks at Lobber Point.
We hope to find like minded people who will cherish our home as much as we do. Our rates are less, particularly in the high season, than the market value for a property of this standard and all inclusive nature. Central heating and electricity, two large baskets of logs, 100% cotton bedding, fine white towels and local telephone calls are all included in the price structure. We have chosen to manage the house ourselves and offer a personal service with the help of our housekeeper Maggie who will clean the property for you when you leave.
Port Isaac is a picturesque fishing village set amidst rugged and magnificent scenery on Cornwall's north coast. It has a strong community and lies in an area of outstanding natural beauty with steep narrow lanes that exude a gallimaufry of old world charm. Walkers are rewarded with spectacular views, rugged cliffs and secluded coves rich in flora and fauna, with wild flowers and lichen growing among the rocks. The coastal path to Port Quin is particularly breathtaking and demanding. A more gentle return across the fields gives ample time to recover for a leisurely lunch at the Golden Lion or The Slipway or simply devouring a Cornish Pasty on the Platt as the world meanders by.
Port Gaverne's small sandy beach next to Port Isaac. A few miles to the North is Tintagel, King Arthur's Castle.
