The Roxburghe Guest House, in a 19th century stone building in the ancient burgh of Kinross, offers Scottish hospitality at its best and where you will receive a warm welcome from Sandy and Steve.
Within 10 minutes walk is the famous Loch Leven Fishery, with it's famous pink fleshed trout. The nearest golf courses are a 3 minute drive away, and the RSPB visitor centre at Vane Farm is 10 minutes drive away.
Accommodation is in four comfortable bedrooms, each equiped with hospitality trays, televisions and hair dryers. There is free parking within a minutes walk of the Roxburghe and a lock-up facility for Bicycles and Motor Bikes is available.
There is a place to store tackle and prepare for a days fishing on Loch Leven. There is also a friendly local angling club with world renowned trout fishing.
The garden shown on the left is open to all guests and is the perfect place to relax. It may be possible to dine alfresco or have a barbecue during the summer months out there as well.
If required the dining room shown to the right can be used for small conferences, training and meetings.
The Roxburghe combines the best of Scottish produce with traditional cooking. It offers an outstanding breakfast ranging from the old fashioned to the continental choices and healthy options.
Evening meals are available, and feature Wild Perthshire Venison, Scotch Lamb and Beef. Special dietry needs are also catered for. Light meals and packed lunches can be made to order.
The Roxburghe is a licensed premises and offers a variety of wines, beers and spirits including Malt Whiskies.
There are four bedrooms consisting of one twin, one double and two family rooms. Every room is equipped with hospitality trays, televisions and hair driers. If requested a mini bar may also be added.
Ideally situated, in Central Scotland, Edinburgh and St Andrews are only 40 minutes away, with Perth and Stirling less than 25 minutes away. For our guests heading to or from the continent, the Rosyth Ferry Port is just half an hour away with M90 joining to all the major routes across the country.
The Roxburghe Guest House is situated close to many of the tourist attractions in Scotland and the Rosyth Ferry is only half an hour away. There are many good golfing opportunities in the area the closest being only 5minutes drive away. Fishing is also easy to hand on Loch Leven and for those racing fans Knockhill Racing Circuit is only a 20 minute drive away.
Kinross is an old market town which boasts many interesting places to visit no matter what your taste. It overlooks Loch Leven where Mary Queen of Scots was held in the castle on its only island.
