Our two farms enjoy a tranquil rural setting and provide an ideal holiday base just three miles from Alnmouth and a similar distance from the historic market town of Alnwick, the seat of the Duke of Northumberland.
Village Farm in the heart of the old village offer an excellent choice of holiday accommodation, ranging from modern Scandanavian-style chalets to traditional stone-built cottages and a 17th century farmhouse.
* Fitness Centre
This is a professionally staffed, fully-equipped gym with state-of-the-art cardio vascular and resistance machines (minimum age 16 years). Upstairs, there is a luxurious relaxation area where you can enjoy a well-earned rest, read the papers and drink complimentary coffee or tea!
* Swimming Pool, Steam Room, Sauna and Sun Shower
Adjoining the gym, the converted stable block houses our main leisure facility. The magnificent heated swimming pool measures 38 x 16 feet. The double-glazed building is constantly heated and the pool surround is carpeted and adorned with plants. The steam room, sauna and ultra-powerful walk-in sun shower are adjacent to the pool. * Foyer, Library and Laundry
At the entrance to the swimming pool building is a foyer with public telephone and information boards, as well as a laundry with washing machine, tumble-drier and deep freeze. Upstairs, there is a library with comfortable chairs - this is reserved for adults only.

There is an all weather menage at Town Foot Farm. The riding school provides qualified instruction at competitive rates. There are indoor and outdoor riding schools. We have a large purpose-built games rooms, superbly equipped with table tennis, pool, table football, air hockey, piano, comfortable seating, TV, and even an outside area for boules.
We have an all-weather court at Village Farm. It is best to bring your own raquets; balls, though, can be purchased at the gym.
We have a pond stocked with coarse fish at Town Foot Farm.
* Games Field
We have a large mown lawn area that is ideal for any age to run around on. There are football posts, a cricket net, golf net, badminton net, croquet and an adventure play area.
The Holy Island of Lindisfarne ... the Farne Islands ... the Grace Darling Museum ... Chillingham Wild Cattle ... Kielder Forest, Water and Dam ... and much, much more.
One can see seven castles from the top of an old tower near Alnwick. The whole county is blessed with a large number of historical buildings of great interest.
The Roman conquest bequeathed Hadrian's Wall. The Vikings and the Borders Wars with the Scots left their own legacy. Visitors can discover the history of the ancient Kingdom of Northumbria through a plethora of local heritage sites and museums.
With Northumberland National Park, the Cheviot Hills and all those miles of beaches, walkers are truly spoilt for choice.
There are many miles of unspoilt, award-winning and largely empty beaches.
The Farne Islands are famous for the wide variety of sea-birds that nest there.
A choice of ten golf courses within a 10 mile radius of Shilbottle.
As well as our own coarse fishing, there is excellent fishing on the Aln, Coquet, Till, Tweed and, of course, sea-fishing off the coast. Hardy, the world famous fishing company, has an interesting museum at its headquarters in Alnwick.
Very good, varied facilities in Alnwick. Groceries from the village shop. Excellent shopping in Newcastle or the Metro Centre at Gateshead.

Edinburgh is 95 miles; Newcastle 28 miles; Carlisle 75 miles. By rail, Alnmouth Station, on the East Coast Line between London and Scotland, is just three miles away.
