    • Tyas Cottage - Grade 11 listed stone built cottage with 4 poster bed
    Tyas Cottage is located within a small hamlet on the site of the first water powered mill in the Colne Valley. It is south facing within the sheltered, wooded valley, Merrydale, and at the end of a secluded cul-de-sac. This is an ancient, cobbled pack horse road and, apart from the sound of falling water, the property is quiet and rural.

    Merrydale, designated as a Site of Scientific Interest, is a beauty spot and its abundant bird life includes dippers, kingfishers, herons and sparrow hawks. Foxes are often seen and a deer was recently sighted. Near the Pennine Way, Marsden Moors (National Trust), Standedge Tunnel,& the television series,‘Where The Heart is’ is set in the nearest Pet friendly, near golf, mill pond, waterfall. Sleeps 6.

    Self-catering country cottage near Marsden, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield and Pennine Way. Golf and tennis nearby.
