  • Cologin Country Chalets and Lodges Oban - Cologin Country Chalets and Lodges, Oban
In the heart of the country yet only minutes from Oban's town centre, these comfortable and well equipped self catering properties offer excellent accommodation. Free fishing on our trout loch in the hills above the park, waymarked forest trails, duck pond, playpark, superb walks and scenery and an award winning country inn serving homecooked food and wonderful fresh local seafood onsite.

The beautiful and bustling town of Oban under 3 miles from Cologin deserves its reputation as the 'Gateway to the Isles'. It boasts Caledonian MacBrayne's west coast ferry port serving Mull, Iona, Colonsay, Islay and many islands inbetween. Its scenery is quite stunning and one of the best ways to appreciate Oban is from the sea so don't miss out on a 'day at sea' during your visit.

As the largest town in the area, Oban has four excellent supermarkets, a cinema, sports centre with swimming pool, sailing club, bowling club, tennis courts, tenpin bowling alley, golf course, charming shops, its own distillery, a sandy beach and a great variety of pubs and restaurants.

    Isle of Mull:
One of the most popular day trips from Oban is the ferry to the Isle of Mull. If you've got young children a visit to 'Balamory' is a must! Whilst Tobermory hardly needed a toddler tourism boom, the town has now accepted its starring role in the TV series. If you do go wear flat heels as all the Balamory houses are on the hill above Tobermory bay!

Lerags Glen meanders down to sealoch Feochan with boat launching facilities and fabulous views out to Kerrera and the Isle of Mull beyond. We welcome divers and have onsite facilties for drying kit and storing boats. Walkers and cyclists are also catered for and with 17,000 acres of fields, hills and forests to explore your dog will enjoy the hoiday too!

The Barn - our country inn on site - is the heart of Cologin and a regular meeting place for customers and locals. We have live music during the summer season and the atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming. Children's licence and all non-smoking since March 06 making it great for families too.

Cologin's chalets and lodges sleep from 2 to 6 using the sofa beds in the living area. Cottages sleep 2 to 3 and the Farmhouse sleeps from 10 to 14. Sky TV and all the usual facilities are on offer plus wifi broadband in the Barn and farmhouse.
