  • The Hideaway at Kenilworth Kenilworth - The Hideaway at Kenilworth. 5 Star Luxury in grade 2 listed Geogian Town House.
The hideaway at kenilworth is no ordinary b&b. forget lace doilies, pot pourri and over-brewed tea. instead imagine crisp white bed linen, fresh flowers and champagne and you've got an idea of what you can expect from a stay at the hideaway at kenilworth.

    Flexible accommodation
the hideaway is unique in that guests can hire out the whole property for a weekend - or longer - or can simply book a single night in a suite. either way, visitors can enjoy full use of the house which includes a welcoming sitting room with original wood beams, large kitchen with aga, and patio garden (where you can sit and enjoy a drink from the honesty bar).

    Who we are
experienced hotelier, mike belson, launched the hideaway at kenilworth in june 2005, with the aim of offering luxury accommodation with the facilities of a top-notch hotel combined with the intimacy of a private rental. his years in the business mean that your stay is guaranteed to be a pleasure from the moment you arrive.

    Where less is more..
the hideaway at kenilworth has just two luxury suites and one single/twin room, so you can be assured of a personal service even at our busiest times!

    Where more is more..
we may be small scale in terms of numbers, we don't skimp on room size. both our suites have large beds, built-in wardrobes, armchairs, working space and - in the case of the PEEKABOO SUITE - an enormous 25m sq. split-level bathroom.

    The little things that count
both suites come equipped with flat-screen tvs with satellite and digital channels, dvd & cd players - and guests are welcome to borrow dvds, cds and books from the hideaway library.

    The options
the PEEKABOO SUITE has a large sleeping area and - just a hop across the hall (hence the name!) - exclusive use of the stunning 25m sq. split-level bathroom with roll-top bath and walk-in shower. chilled champagne is an optional extra!

the DUCK SUITE is so-called because of its charming low doorway through which you will find a beautiful beamed room complete with en-suite shower-room.

the town is home to 'the most romantic ruins in england' - kenilworth castle, which plays host to a number of outdoor concerts, fireworks displays and medieval events throughout the year (see 'events' page for details). the old high street has a number of historic inns and taverns shouldn't be missed and the town boasts some of the county's best restaurants.

    Warwick & leamington spa
warwick is a charming market town with the beautiful warwick castle set aside the river leam. the castle holds pop and classical concerts and themed events year-round. the town has had an injection of new life recently and now has an abundance of great bars and restaurants alongside the antiques stores it is famous for. leamington is a stylish regency spa town and the parade offers shoppers all the high-street names. south of the parade the award-winning jephson gardens are well worth a visit.

a must-visit for tourists to the area, stratford was home to william shakespeare and now has three royal shakespeare society theatres. always bustling with visitors, the town is a great day out, whether you're looking for culture, shopping, children's activities or eating and drinking.

Kenilworth is set in the midst of the beautiful warwickshire countryside, yet is easily accessible from the nearby major motorway networks - the M40, M6, M42 and M1. birmingham and the nec, nia and symphony hall are all a short drive away and coventry and birmingham international airport are both within a 15 minute drive.

When you need to work - with a desk and chair in both suites, working in your room won't be a problem. and with never more than a couple of other guests to share the house with, you're not likely to be disturbed when you need peace. Not only can corporate guests really make a business trip a pleasure, rather than a chore, by staying at the hideaway at kenilworth, they can also benefit from great reduced rates. for more details of our special mid-week rates please call, email or complete our online enquiry form - see website.
