  • Ravensworth Hotel Keswick - The Ravensworth Hotel, Keswick, established for over fifteen years, has built an enviable reputation for quality, friendliness, service and comfort.
Situated in the heart of Keswick, the hotel is perfectly placed for a discovery of the town's charm and its many attractions, restaurants and public houses.

"Arrive as a guest and leave as a friend." - Jason and Alison welcome you to the Ravensworth Hotel, where excellent home cooked local food, cleanliness and excellent levels of service are afforded to you, our guests. We strive to ensure you feel the Ravensworth is an extension of your home and many of our guests refer to us as their "home from home". All of our bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard, equipped with teletext television, trouser press, hairdryer, umbrella, mints, toiletries and hospitality tray. Superb fell views are experienced from most rooms. Relax in our wonderful lounge where you will find the open fire and bowl of fresh fruit, whilst reading a book or magazine and enjoying a drink of your choosing.

    Our Food:
We are extremely passionate about the food that we purchase and serve. All meat is supplied by local suppliers and is locally reared. Our free range eggs and milk are delivered directly to us from a local farm.

Tomatoes are organic and bought on the vine to ensure the maximum flavour and freshness. Mushrooms are organic where possible.

All of our sausage and bacon is grilled to ensure a healthy slant. Bacon is cut thicker than usual to enjoy a ‘traditional’ rasher.

For the vegetarians amongst us, all of our tomatoes are grilled on a separate grill to ensure there is no contact with meat at any stage.

Mushrooms are cooked in their own pan in a little water to ensure maximum flavour and no fat is used anywhere, as in all of our cooking.Eggs are fried in a ‘Tefal non-stick’ frying pan to ensure no oil is used to ensure that what you taste is ‘the egg’.

Please note: We can provide soya milk and various soya products for our guests if we are notified in advance. Most diets can be catered for. Again, prior notification is most appreciated to ensure sufficient time to purchase the supplies.

Set in the beautiful scenery of the Lake District, Keswick is one of the area's busiest and most vibrant towns. Whether you want to explore the lakes and fells, discover the history of the region, or just sit back and enjoy the wealth of art and culture that the Lake Distict has to offer, Keswick has something for everyone.

Surely the aspect of Keswick that arrests the attention of most visitors is its surroundings. The town is set on the shores of Lake Derwentwater, overlooked by fells on all sides. The most relaxing way to appreciate the stunning views is to have a trip on the Keswick Launch, which takes you on a 50 minute tour of this beautiful lake. For the more adventurous, the valley of Borrowdale is just a stone's throw away, and is a heaven for climbers and walkers.

When the weather is bad and you're forced inside, Keswick comes into its own. Boasting a brand-new Theatre By The Lake, offering an eclectic mix of drama, music, dance and film, the world-famous pencil museum, Keswick's own museum and art gallery and the tranquil Trotters World of Animals. Keswick provides history and culture for the whole family. Pubs, restaurants, Saturday market, swimming pool & leisure centre, cinema and two nightclubs are also on offer.
