The picturesque village of Nether Wallop was used as setting for Agatha Christie’s “Miss Marples” series and is also famous for its XI century Church with the oldest Anglo Saxon wall paintings still in situ in the country.

One of the two village pubs (both with good food) is in walking distance and there are many excellent pubs and restaurants in Stockbridge (10 minutes’ drive) and surrounding villages.

Equidistant from the Cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury, and within easy reach of Stonehenge, this is an ideal base for exploring southern England and is also a convenient stop-over for touring the West Country, being just off A30/A343 and only ten minutes drive from the A303 (Andover). (Approx. 1 ? hrs drive London, 1 ? hrs Oxford, 1 ? hrs Bath)
