Lunga B&B - Cottages - Flats Craobh Haven - Choose: our B&B accommodation, 4 self catering flats within the Lunga residence and 4 self catering cottages on the estate.
Lunga is a fine old Scottish country house (originally a 16th century Tower House), castellated, turreted, set on green lawns amidst tangled woodland. It looks out upon the sea: the waters of the Firth of Lorne and the Sound of Jura are just five hundred metres away.
The house, with its four thousand acre estate, stands upon the west coast of the Craignish Peninsula. This is a ten mile promontory stretching out into the islands of the Inner Hebrides from the coastal road where Mid-Argyll meets Lorne. The country here is some of the most beautiful in Scotland, and some of its least discovered. The shoreline is rugged, craggy, indented, but not without its gentle coves and beaches – as well as many islands where seals bask and sea birds nest, and where a careful observer may see both eagles and otters. Above the shoreline the land is lush and undulating, with many remaining fragments of the Caledonian Forest giving shelter amidst oaks and pines to a great diversity of animals and wild flowers. Lunga Estate makes the ideal base from which to explore this area of Argyllshire or as a stopping off point as you head north/south on your travels.
