Wesley House Winchcombe - Wesley House: inside you'll discover a calm and serenity as rare and old-fashioned as its historic provenance. But fantastic though the food is - and it really is - Wesley House offers even more: a dining experience.
Whether you're searching for a great restaurant, delightful accommodation or a base to explore the local area, Wesley House is ideally situated in the beautiful Cotswold town of Winchcombe. Winchcombe is centrally located, a couple of hours from London and Manchester and an hour from Bristol and Birmingham.
Five individually decorated rooms provide memorable accommodation for a short Cotswolds break.
Our five cosy bedrooms are all en-suite and individually furnished to a high standard. The double rooms are named after the fields surrounding Sudeley Castle of which one, "Almsbury", has a private terrace overlooking the North Cotswold Edge. The Castle itself can be seen from here in Winter, once the leaves have fallen.
Our twin bedroom is know as "The Preacher's Room" since the founder of the Methodist Church, John Wesley, stayed here in 1755 and 1779 as a guest of the then owner of the building, John Stait, whilst preaching in the town. Hence our name - Wesley House.
Our bed and breakfast rates are per room, per night, based on two people sharing a twin or double bedded room and include a full English breakfast.

:: Wesley House Restaurant:
People travel from yards and miles to dine at Wesley House. Equally popular with local people, food critics and diners from a wide area, Wesley House has built up an excellent reputation for food, whether it be a light lunch with a friend, romantic meal for two or a party to celebrate a special event.
Sip a Gin & Tonic by the real fire before your meal in the winter, or enjoy a glass of Pimm’s and the beautiful Cotswold views from our new air-conditioned Atrium in the summer.
A varied and exciting menu (view a sample) is complemented by our insistence on using fresh local produce wherever possible. Combined with our award winning wine list with a bias towards South Africa, you can be sure that any meal you have at Wesley House will tantalise your taste buds.
Wesley House Restaurant is happy to cater for private parties and will ensure you have a memorable time, whatever the occasion. Whether it is a birthday party, anniversary, wedding reception, christening or office party, we will organise everything to give you a stress-free time.
The restaurant can be reserved in its entirety (subject to availability) for parties of 70 – 80 guests or for smaller numbers just the Atrium can be hired. Our lower restaurant can also be used as a dance floor if required.
Wesley House Restaurant is now licensed for civil ceremonies so you can tie the knot, celebrate afterwards and stay the night, all under one roof! We have held a number of marriage and civil partnership ceremonies since our license was granted in 2005, and we can accommodate up to 60 guests on these occasions. We have a wonderful Atrium where the ceremony can be held, before guests move into the bar area for champagne and canapés. Guests can then move into our dining room for a stunning meal and follow it with dancing if required..
:: Bar & Grill:
Modern, vibrant and lively, Wesley House's new wine bar and grill opened in 2006 to critical acclaim. Already becoming "the place to be seen", the bar combines Wesley House's trademark attention to detail and superior levels of service with contemporary surroundings and a buzzing atmosphere.
Sample wine from our amazing cellar with a selection of tapas at the bar or sit down in our funky dining area for raciones or grills. Or come along on a Sunday evening and enjoy live music while you wine and dine.
