The Russell offers ten comfortable ensuite bedrooms, including one family suite. All rooms have tea/coffee facilities, clock/radio and colour TV. Hairdriers & iron available on request.

The Bar stocks a good selection of alcoholic and soft drinks and the dining room offers separate tables where a full english breakfast and evening meals are served. Picnic lunches are also available to order.

Guests of all ages are welcome and special requirements catered for.

Situated away from the centre of the town, the Russell is convenient for all North and South Bay attractions. Many local areas of interest are easily accessible and public transport links are excellent.

Peasholm Park offers a packed timetable of events during the summer months, including some spectacular firework displays at the end of the various shows.
The Stephen Joseph Theatre, The Spa and The Futurist, to name but three venues, offer a range of entertainment to meet all tastes, including traditional Christmas Panto's.

For those who want to explore further afield, the North Yorkshire steam railway, Dalby Forest and National Park are all within a short drive away. A large number of picturesque villages and stately homes are nearby and golfing enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice. For the more energetic there are a number of Golf courses locally and more within a short drive.

Dalby Forest and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park with its walks and cycle routes are a pleasure to behold. The RSPB sites at Bempton and Flamborough are worth a gander at, with the only mainland Puffins in the UK.

For the less energetic the picturesque sights of Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby, Thornton-le-Dale and Pickering are within a half hour drive. But lets not miss the train, from Pickering to Goathland on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and stopping off at Grosmont, the home of "Aidensfield" in Heartbeat and Harry Potter's "Hogsmeade Station".

A wealth of information and maps are available for guests including the Moors bus timetable for visitors who would preferto enjoy the scenery rather than drive - just ask.
