  • Orchard Lodge Boscastle - Rooms with Breakfast chic, contemporary accommodation and fine food
The large white-painted house is set in its own peaceful grounds in a conservation area on the edge of the village. It's a stone's throw from hidden-away High Street and Fore Street, one of the area's most charming, best-kept secrets. A ten minute stroll takes you to the historic harbour and coastpath.

Our twin and double rooms, all ensuite, have been fully refurbished in crisp, contemporary style.

There's a spacious lounge and in Summer, a garden in which to unwind and relax.

Orchard Lodge offers easy parking, whilst being handy for local transport.

One of Cornwall's top award-winning restaurants and oldest pubs are just yards away.

We welcome walkers and cyclists and have facilities for storing equipment and drying wet weather gear.

Most of our breakfast ingredients are sourced locally including eggs, honey, bacon and yoghurt. We even have our own pig being reared for Orchard Lodge sausages on a nearby farm.

We are holders of a gold accolade from the Green Tourism Business Scheme and our eco-friendly house boasts solar panels for heating hot water.

The village now boasts a fine new Visitor Centre where you can learn more about Boscastle and the surrounding area. Today tourism is the mainstay of the community. The picturesque harbour is now home to a wide variety of eating places, pubs, shops and Cornwall's own Museum of Witchcraft. Spend time wandering the magnificent coast path, follow in Hardy's footsteps along the Valency Valley or enjoy a leisurely stroll on any one of a dozen or more scenic footpaths.

If surfing's your thing there are beaches aplenty including at Newquay – where you may be able to spot celebs from the new hit soap, Echo Beach and its spoof documentary spin-off, Moving Wallpaper. They're filmed at Watergate Bay, where another celebrity, Jamie Oliver, has his latest Fifteen venture.

For those who prefer to keep their feet dry there's excellent walking and cycling around Boscastle. Apart from the South West Coastpath and many other delightful rights of way, you can trek over Bodmin Moor with its lowering peaks, Roughtor and Brown Willy. Join the Camel Trail at Wadebridge for seventeen miles of easy, car-free cycling. The area is also blessed with good golfing and stables for pony trekking.
