  • Gosforth Hall Inn Gosforth - Gosforth Hall is well located for walking activities, fishing holidays, golfing holidays, the 3-peak challange and diving. In the local area we are close to the L'al Ratty Railway and Muncaster Castle.
The Hall offers 7 en-suite bedrooms all differing in charater without sacrificing original features. The Copley Suite utilises one whole wing across the top floor and is a must for those wanting that special weekend away.

The N~E~W Annex offers 8 double en-suite bedrooms, a 2 bed apartment and a 3 bed apartment. Each room offers solid oak doors and floors, superking size beds (all of which can be converted into twins), walk-in wet rooms and flat screen TV's. A number of rooms have unspoilt views of the fells.

We offer a range of meals that include Homemade Pies, fresh Fish, Lakeland Steaks, Burgers, traditioinal and Vegetarian dishes, in addition to a selection of Desserts that would tempt most palates.

All meals can be eaten in the Bar, Lounge or Restaurant, the majority of which are home cooked to order and are easily adapted to suit most tastes and dietary requirements.

The bar is popular with both locals and visitors, especially when the real fire provides added warmth, following your return from exploring the near by fells. The fireplace is dominated by a plaster overmantle bearing the initials of the first owners of the hall, together with the date of 1673. Building actually commenced in 1658. The significant history will add interest to your visit and the present owners will be delighted to provide further factual and anecdotal information about the history of the building, over a quiet pint.
