    Great Yarmouth:

Great Yarmouth is a large seasonal town, ''Upon the whole, the finest place in the universe. '' this is how Peggotty from David Copperfield described Great Yarmouth and many would agree with her. Situated on the east coast with five miles of sandy beaches. Once a the centre of the herring fishing industry, then the base for many North Sea oil companies, she now relaxes again as a holiday resort. The market place at Great Yarmouth covers and area of 12,000 sq. yards.

The sea front is full of fun for the family with amusement arcades, rides and shops, it can become very busy peak weeks. The many attractions include the Marina, with a swimming pool, the Sea-Life Centre, with sharks and other marine creatures and the Pleasure Beach with breathtaking rides.

Many people when thinking about this area automatically think of the Norfolk Broads with its impressive windmills, lovely meandering rivers, reed- lined lakes and profusion of wildlife. This world famous leisure area is right on Great Yarmouth's doorstep. Perhaps the best way to explore and experience this unique part of England is to hire your own boat or join one of the many organised cruises, as the real beauty of the Norfolk Broads is seen at its best from the water. The Norfolk and Suffolk coastline offers an ever changing panorama from long shingle beaches to pine covered cliff tops. There is a wide array of historic houses, castles, gardens, wildlife parks, theme parks and archaeological remains throughout the whole area.
