Set on a hillside overlooking Wexford, Clonard House was built in 1783 and is a striking example of Georgian architecture. This historic Georgian country home has elegant high ceilings and is furnished throughout with antiques from the period.

Breakfasts are served in the charming dining room with its period features and guests are free to enjoy the lovely grounds in which the house stands.

Unwind over an Irish Coffee in the elegant drawing room before retiring to one of the nine en-suite bedrooms, most with Four Poster beds, all with TV & Hairdryer. All rooms are equipped with orthopedic mattresses.

Wexford's Harbour now hosts a new promenade, ideal for an evening stroll. The county's main attractions are all within easy reach of town,
With 200km of coastline, Wexford has beaches to suite all. Only 7 miles from town, Curracloe Beach is a great example of miles of unspoilt white sandy beach. Guided walking tours of the sand dunes and nearby forest take place daily during summer. In 1997, this was the location for D-Day landing scenes in the Tom Hanks film "Saving Private Ryan".
Johnstown Castle is one of many castles in the area. This is a large gothic-revival style mansion incorporating part of a more ancient castle. It has 50 acres of ornamental grounds and over 200 different kinds of trees, shrubs and three ornamental lakes with wildlife. It also hosts the Irish Agricultural Museum & Famine Exhibition. Johnstown Castle is well worth a visit during your stay in Wexford.
Irish National Heritage Park This is the region's show piece on a well-developed 35-acre site overlooking the Slaney River. The Park takes you on an adventure through 9,000 years of Irish History. The unique atmosphere presented by the surroundings combined with an excellent restaurant and extensive range of Irish gifts and clothing in the Craft Shop, make it a great day out.
