About the Hotel
The site of Llansantffraed Court dates back to the twelfth century. The present house is built in the style of William and Mary and stands within 19 acres of private park land, complete with ornamental lake and fountain. It has been an established hotel since the 1920’s, a fact that is reflected by the warm welcome from the present owners the Morgan family and their attentive, considerate staff.
The hotel is exquisitely furnished to give a sense of homely yet spacious luxury and each of our 21 bedrooms is individually furnished and has a country house charm of its own.
Our restaurant uses only the finest local ingredients, while open fires in the lounge and afternoon teas on the terrace all add to Llansantffraed’s charm.
Weddings and conferences are a specialty of the hotel and a wide range of excellent facilities are available for all types of functions, celebrations and meetings. We are licenced for civil marriage ceremonies.
The accommodation at Llansantffraed Court comprises of 21 spacious bedrooms. Seven have oak beams and dormer windows and one is a four poster suite.
Every one is individually furnished and has a country house charm of its own. All are well appointed with the facilities one would expect from a hotel of international standard: en-suite bathroom, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, radio, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities and room service. Trouser press, ironing and laundrette facilities are available on site.
Each of the bedroom windows commands wondrous panoramic views which stretch as far as Sugar Loaf mountain to the North, Pen-y-fan of the majestic Black Mountains to the West. In the East rises the abrupt ridge of Great Skirrid while Clytha Castle is visible to the South.
Good food is the central
element in any Welsh home
Llansantffraed Court takes great pride in this enduring tradition, a fact reflected by its collection of culinary accolades, recognised in all the major food guides, and a proud owner of two red rosettes from the AA, a meal at Llansantffraed is a truly memorable occasion.
The menu, which changes daily, offers a wide variety of dishes using the finest of locally fresh produce, complimented by a wide selection of fine wines and warm yet unobtrusive service. As a result, the most intimate dining or the grandest banquet are equally memorable experiences.
Evening draws guests to the sumptuous lounges where roaring fires create a relaxed yet intimate atmosphere in which to savour the views of the South Wales countryside.
